Chap Chap accounts may be temporarily suspended or blocked due to system or policy violations, mainly to curb fraud.
Suspension Timelines:
- 1st offence: 1 day
- 2nd offence: 72 hours
- 3rd offence: 7 days
- 4th offence: Requires visiting the ChapChap office with one’s ID for review and reactivation
The 1st, 2nd, and 3rd suspensions are automatic system blocks, and the account is automatically reactivated once the suspension period ends.
If a suspension is due to a false alarm, the Fraud Committee reviews the case and may manually lift the block/Suspension. - Suspended/Blocked agents may be asked to resubmit KYC documents if any were missing during onboarding, as KYC standards are continually updated to meet regulatory requirements.
